1). What is WEBtown's Banner Ad Market?

WEBtown's Banner Ad Market is an online resource you can use to purchase banner ad space on one of WEBtown's WWW pages.

2). How does the Banner Ad Market work?

WEBtown WWW pages offering banner ad space are presented in a table format providing a hot link to each page and showing the availability of banner ad space on the page, the position(s)[top, middle, bottom] on the page where ad space is accepted, the monthly price of banner ad space at each page position, the general topic of the page, and the date that banner ad space will become available at each position if there is presently a banner ad located at that position.

3). How much does a banner ad cost?

The prices presented in the MONPX (monthly price) column are the current monthly prices charged for placing a banner ad at either top, middle, or bottom position on each WWW page. Banner ads may not be available at the top, middle, and bottom position(s) of all WEBtown WWW pages.

Banner ad subscriptions are available for either a 1 or 3 month period. 3 month subscriptions will receive a 10% discount over the monthly price posted in the MONPX column times three. All prices are subject to change at the end of each subscription period.

BANNER AD SIZE 460 x 55 pixels

BANNER AD SIZE 234 x 60 pixels

5). Can we create your banner?

Yes.

6). How do I create a banner?

First, make sure that any banner ad you create meets the size requirements (i.e., 468x60, 460x55, or 234x60 pixels) for the web page where you want to place your banner ad. Once you have determined the size requirement for your ad you can start creating your GIF (Graphics Interchange Format) banner ad. You can either make a banner yourself using a paint or draw program or have someone create a banner for you.

There are a number of resources on the WWW that discuss and/or provide support for banner ad creation. You can find these resources by going to any of the popular seach engines like YAHOO! and searching for information about banner ad creation.

If you need any additional assistance with or have questions about banner ad creation, please send us an e-mail message.

7). Cost to create a banner?

Between $35 to $50 per hour.

The cost of creating a banner ad is, for the most part, a function of the time that it takes to envision, design, and create the ad. A banner ad that has graphic elements designed into it (unless you supply the graphic, such as a logo) will obviously cost more than a 100% text based banner ad since time must be spent creating and producing the graphic to add to the ad.
